Window of tolerance

It’s been a good day, maybe even a good week or a good start to the year with things feeling like they are manageable, sticking to your routine, making good connections, feeling accomplished, feeling good, a sweet spot. It doesn’t last forever. Outside factors, schedules, difficulty in relationships or other stressful events along with the different emotions that accompany those things can cause deviation from that sweet spot, which can cause dysregulation, feeling out of sorts, and a decrease in our ability to function well.
