3rd annual Burke Lake Carnival to be held Sat., May 18

We need your help! Each year, the Burke Lake Carnival is growing. It keeps getting bigger and better, and we need you! We are extremely excited to invite you to be part of the Third Annual Burke Lake Carnival! The carnival will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024 from 2-4pm at the Burke Lake Camping Area, and the Burke Civic Center is reserved in case of inclement weather.

Billie Sutton Leadership Institute announces 2024 Class

The Billie Sutton Leadership Institute’s sixth year is underway, and the 2024 Sutton Leaders and Rural POWER class has been announced. Sixteen members of the new class met for a training seminar this past weekend in Oacoma to kick off the year-long leadership development program.

Four years of high school music culminates with trip to Music City

Fifteen Gregory High School seniors who have been in band and/ or choir for the last four years embarked on a trip to Nashville on April 12. After a day of driving and flying, they ended the first evening with dinner at Raising Canes.

Bid accepted for Phase I of infrastructure project

The Gregory City Council met with engineers from SPN during the regular meeting on Monday, April 15, 2024, to discuss the bids received for Phase I of the infrastructure project The city received three bids for Phase I of the infrastructure project. The engineers from SPN were at the meeting to discuss the plan moving forward.

Engineering students earn spot in world competition

During the regular meeting of the Gregory School District Board of Education on Tuesday, April 9, Mike Murray took the board on a mini field trip for his Gorilla Good News. Murray is the teacher for the engineering trailer that has been part of the Career and Technical Education (CTE) program for the past ten years.
