The Gregory Spikers’ schedule has been busy the last couple of weeks. They played Platte-Geddes, Winner, Burke, and Colome.

The Gregory boys cross country team participated in the Region 3B meet on Wednesday, October 13, at Freeman. Luke Sinclair came away as region champ, running the very windy course in 18:20.7 to lead Gregory.

The Gregory cross country team ran in the region meet on a very windy Wednesday, October 13th afternoon at Freeman. The Gregory girls started the meet off and came away as the Region 3B runner-up.

The Gregory Spikers volleyball team hosted the Burke Lady Cougars on Thursday, October 14, for the annual Dig for a Cure (formerly known as Dig Pink) game. The Spikers lost to their opponents in three sets, 20-25, 18-25, and 18-25.

The Gregory Gorillas extended their season record to 5-3 Friday evening with a 42-12 win against Bon Homme. The win, coupled with a win by the Burke Cougars, secured a home field advantage for Gregory against the Cougars in the first round of 9A football playoffs at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, October 21, at Mike Dacy Field.

On October 4, Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg joined a bipartisan coalition of 52 attorneys general expressing strong support for the hearings being conducted by the U.S. Senate Committee addressing protection and safety of kids and teens using social media.

The GHS Competitive Cheer & Dance Teams have been on the road over the past three weeks traveling to a few Class AA schools: Harrisburg and Mitchell, and performing at GHS Coronation. In Harrisburg, the cheer team placed 13th out of 15, which was 3rd out of 5 Class A schools.

The Gregory cross country runners ran Monday, October 4, in Gregory. The meet was the SESD Conference meet consisting of nine schools.

The Gorillas improved their record to 4-3 on the season with a 28-8 Homecoming win against the Black Panthers of Platte-Geddes. Gregory scored first in the first quarter when Rylan Peck threw to Owen Hansen for a 24 yard touchdown reception.
