Team Buche Cares announces pheasant hunt event to fight South Dakota food insecurity

Team Buche Cares, a South Dakota non-profit associated with Buche Foods stores, is announcing the new food fundraiser, The Rooster Roundup. The Rooster Roundup is a one day guided pheasant hunt at Cock Block Lodge in Dallas, SD, and will help Team Buche Cares in their efforts to address food insecurity and increase access to fruits and vegetables among tribal and rural populations in the Buche Foods service area in South Dakota. Bon Homme’s Aarstad hard for Gorillas to stop in 28-8 loss

The Gregory Gorillas hit the road to face Bon Homme on their home turf, and Friday the 13th turned out to be their unlucky night as the Cavaliers handed them a 28-8 defeat. The Gorillas held their opponent to a single touchdown in the first quarter, a 54-yard run by Major Aarstad.

Cross country teams run well at Scotland Invitational

The varsity boys cross country team placed third in a field of 21 teams at the Scotland Invitational on Monday, September 9, 2024. Luke Barreto led the team, finishing in 9th place with a time of 19:08.24.

Gregory Spikers break 18-year streak against Wagner

The Gregory Spikers ended Wagner’s 18-game winning streak between the two schools on Thursday, September 12, in a hardfought matchup at home. After a close 25-23 win in the first set, the Spikers put a little more distance between them and their rivals in the second set, winning 25-20.

Cheer and dance team goes up against big schools at Corn Palace

The Gregory High School cheer and dance team went up against some much larger schools at the Corn Palace on Thursday, September 5. While it was fun for the Gregory girls to watch teams such as Harrisburg, Brandon Valley, Sioux Falls Jefferson, and Dakota Valley, they were outmatched, especially being short one of the higher leveled skill girls, who has to sit out a week for concussion protocol.
