A man, two horses, and a wild idea results in the trip of a lifetime

Last week a covered wagon unexpectedly rolled into town, driven by a cowboy with big ambitions. The seed for this trip was planted about five years ago when Scott Schlepp saw a movie called “Unbroken.” In this movie, four young kids rode mustangs they had broken from New Mexico to the Canadian border. Scott thought he’d like to do something like that someday.

That idea nagged at him for about three years before he decided that if he was going to do it, he’d better stop dreaming and start doing something.
