South Dakota lawmakers advance Medicaid work requirement

South Dakota Republican lawmakers on Monday advanced a proposed constitutional amendment that would allow the state to try and force people on Medicaid to work despite federal policy prohibiting such requirements.

VFW Auxiliary donates ‘animals’ to HSC

The South Dakota Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Auxiliary traveled to HSC during snowy January, bearing gifts. The dedicated volunteers delivered donations for HSC patients who are veterans of the United State Military.

Appreciation night to be held in Scotland for military members

The double header basketball games in Scotland on February 10, 2023, will be Military Appreciation Night. All past and present military personnel will be admitted free of charge. There will also be coffee and cookies in the community room all evening for veterans and their spouses.

Sons of American Legion to hold meeting Feb. 16

The Sons of the American Legion will be holding their monthly meeting on Thursday, February 16, 2023, at the Legion Post in Gregory. The meeting will start at 7:00 p.m., and all members and potential members are encouraged to attend.

Gregory Co. FFA visits Black Hills Stock Show

Junior and senior members of the Gregory County FFA chapter, sponsored by the South Dakota FFA Foundation and Rodeo Rapid City, attended the Black Hills Stock Show January 29-30. Although inclement weather delayed their trip, they still managed to participate in a variety of FFA activities.
