Albert Yuzicappi

Funeral services for Albert Yuzicappi were held on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at the Bonesteel City Hall in Bonesteel, SD, with Pastor Dave Lays Bad officiating. Casket bearers were Corby Sachtjen, Jerone Jones, Doug Hrdlicka, Adrian Yellow Hawk, Ty Sachtjen, Kalum Yuzicappi, Mark Spencer, and Kazlen Yuzicappi. Clausen Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Albert Joseph Yuzicappi was born to Joe and Rose (Tawiyaka) Yuzicappi on October 6, 1936 at Fort Qu’Appelle Saskatchewan, Canada. He began his spiritual journey to heaven on May 26, 2024 at the Parkston Nursing Home surrounded by family members. We are grateful for the care and support of his home health care nurse Ann, and the Nursing Home staff.

Albert married Diane Papequash in August of 1975. They had three children: Cory Yuzicappi, Sharon (Yuzicappi) Yellow Hawk and Steven (Mikey) Yuzicappi, Albert later moved to Wolf Point, MT, and then located his three children to South Dakota where they resided. His life was a testament to his faith and love for God. He traveled far and wide, sharing the word of God and spreading joy through his music and singing. He ministered throughout the majority of his life.

Albert is survived for his sister Vivian Yuzicappi; and her children: Merrilee and Cherlyn; daughter Sharon Yellow Hawk; grandchildren: Chasity (Corbett) Sachtjen, Lindsey (Jerome) Jones, Sequoyah Jones, Dillon Yellow Hawk, Kaylee Yellow Hawk, Faith Yellow Hawk (Doug Hrdlicka), Sky Roubideaux and Bria Roubideaux; and nine great-grandchildren.
