Bradley Vincent Warnke, age 64, passed away on Friday, June 28, 2024, at Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls, SD.

Born in Gregory, SD on July 29, 1959, Brad was the first son to Vincent and Deniece Warnke. He grew up on the family farm in Fairfax, SD. He graduated in 1977 from Fairfax High School where he enjoyed playing football, basketball, baseball, and showed cattle in 4-H.

After graduation, Brad had many different jobs throughout his life. He worked for Ted Olson for a few years both in Atkinson, NE and the southern part of Texas. Upon returning, he worked as a farmhand for Carrol Olson and worked as a manager at National Hog Farms. On the side, he began building his farming and ranching operation. Over the years, Brad mostly raised Black Angus cattle, and farmed corn and soybeans. For almost 30 years, he had his unofficial fifth kid, his horse Dial, who may have been his favorite of all his children.

Brad married Kimberly Pacha on June 23rd, 1984, in Atkinson, NE. To this union four kids were born: Kristyn, Kelli, Marcus, and Khristopher. As his kids were growing up, he enjoyed watching their sporting events, coaching baseball, teaching good work ethic, and riding horses. He also made sure the family attended church regularly, and was always willing to help in the church as needed. In late 2004, Brad was able to buy his parents’ farmhouse and spent the winter/spring remodeling. He also enjoyed butchering his own cattle throughout the years to provide plenty of beef each year for his family.

Brad enjoyed hobbies throughout his life that would let him relax at times away from the hard work on the farm. In the winter, he would spend most of his time on local lakes and ponds ice fishing with his father, brothers, daughters, and sons. He also enjoyed hunting pheasants, other small birds, and some deer with his sons as they got older. He was also a member of the Fairfax Volunteer Fire Department for 20+ years. In his later years, he was able to enjoy time with his seven grandkids at the family farm and other activities they were involved in.

He is survived by his wife Kim of 40 years; daughter Kristyn (Joe) Walloch, kids Lucas, Riley, Alex, and Natalie of Scotland, SD, and daughter Kelli (Chris) Brewster, kids McKenzie, Macy, and Carter of York, NE; son Marcus Warnke of Brookings, SD, and son Khristopher (fiancé Jerica) Warnke of Fairfax, SD; mother Deniece; siblings Brenda, Virg, Todd, Tim, and Vic; as well as many other relatives.

Brad was preceded in death by his father Vincent Warnke; grandparents Max and Rosalie Warnke; and grandparents Tony and Helen Schmitz.
