Charles Sangster

Graveside services for Charles Sangster were held on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at the Graceland Cemetery in Burke, SD, with Reverend Thaniel Certa-Werner officiating.

Clausen Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Charles Junior Sangster was born September 16, 1937, the son of Charlie and Bertha Camin Sangster. He grew up in Burke, Bonesteel area, graduating from Bonesteel High School in 1955. Upon graduation he joined the US Navy, serving from October 1955 to September 1959. After his honorable discharge he went to work for Lozier Corporation in Omaha, NE and U-Haul in Council Bluffs, IA. After his retirement from UHaul he moved to Burke, SD. Charles enjoyed spending time with his family and was always willing to help family and friends.

Charles Sangster, age 87, of Burke, SD passed away on Friday, September 20, 2024 at the Burke Community Memorial Hospital in Burke, SD.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents; and sister Linda. He is survived by his daughter Jodi Sangster; his cousins Robert Sangster of Herrick, SD, and Elaine Sangster Mahanke.
