A Celebration of Life service was held on Friday, June 28, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. at the Fairfax City Hall in Fairfax, SD. Burial will follow at a later date. Clausen Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Cindy was born on March 2, 1961, in Kadoka, SD, to Larry and Leola (Vavruska) Ulmer. Cindy also had three siblings: Jeffrey, Carla and Timothy.
Cindy welcomed her first daughter Tonya in 1978, and welcomed her second daughter Tina in 1979. Shortly after, she met Rylan Lindgren, they dated for a short time before getting married, but it was a marriage made to last a lifetime. They welcomed their last daughter Tamara in 1989.
Cindy enjoyed having animals of all kinds; they welcomed many dogs, cats, birds, and fish. Cindy was known for her caring and loving personality. She always made sure everyone was taken care of and never asked for anything in return.
In 1995 Cindy became a grandmother and it was one of her greatest treasures. Cindy enjoyed baking, crafting, crocheting, gardening and her family. Cindy was a natural caretaker, with her husband, three daughters, four grandchildren and her five great-grandchildren. She was a homemaker, it is what she was born to do. Through the years Cindy found many hobbies, she enjoyed finding new projects, and trying new things. She found a lot of joy in it. Family time was her favorite, she enjoyed baking pies, movie and game nights.
Cindy Lindgren, age 63, of Fairfax, SD, passed away on Friday, June 14, 2024 at the Ava’s Hospice House in Sioux Falls, SD.
Cindy is survived by her husband Rylan Lindgren; her daughters: Tonya (Dustin Hauk), and Tamara (Dalton Mollard); grandchildren: Alyssa (Lee), Samantha (Brandyn), Chance, and Kitriana; five grandchildren; and siblings: Jeffrey (Deb) Ulmer, Carla (Vic) Warnke and Timothy Ulmer.
