Clark Wendt

Memorial services for Clark Wendt were held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 26, 2022, at the Olive Presbyterian Church in Platte, SD, with Craig Bryan officiating.

Music was provided by Vicki Erickson, pianist.

Urn bearers were Larry Nydam, Dean Nydam, Tim Paauw, Karen Kott, and Jim Rommen. Honorary urn bearers were Dave Carter, Dan Cool, Mark Holter, and Mike Shea.

A committal service followed at the Platte City Cemetery. Mount Funeral Home of Platte was in charge of arrangements.

Clark Warren Wendt was born on March 7, 1953 to Warren and Juelle (Paauw) Wendt in Platte, SD. He graduated from Platte High School in 1971 and went on to attend Augustana College, National American University and Brown Technical Institute, graduating with a live sound production certificate.

Clark worked as a bartender, was involved in administrative support for Habitat for Humanity, and enjoyed a lifelong love of music. Clark Warren Wendt, age 69, of Platte, SD, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2022, at Platte Care Center Avera.

Grateful for having shared in Clark’s life are his son, Matthew Wendt, and grandson, Graedyn Wendt, of Rapid City, SD; his mother, Juelle Wendt, of Platte, SD; and sister, Sherene Wendt, of Minneapolis, MN.

Clark was preceded in death by his father, Warren Wendt, and brother, Dennis Wendt.
