Connie Sue

A funeral service for Connie Lou Sue, age 79, of Allegany, NY, was held at 1 p.m., March 13, 206, at Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home in Olean, NY. Burial followed in Allegany Cemetery. Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Connie Lou was born May 10, 1947, in Burke, SD, to the late Carl and Minnie (Vasika) Stucker. She was married to Donald E. Sue. Connie retired from Conap after 35 years of employment. After retirement, Connie continued to work for the Town of Allegany for ten years and for the Allegany Limestone School District for three years.

Known for her joy for life, Connie was active in her community and enjoyed being a recent member of the Allegany American Legion and the 60 Plus Club, as well as many other organizations throughout her years. Her passion was her family, and she enjoyed much of her time spent with them at “the pond,” camping, playing cards, attending all of their concerts, plays, recitals, and games and celebrating each other. She also enjoyed going to the casino, traveling, dinners, dancing, and just sitting with her friends, enjoying conversation and laughter over coffee.

Connie Lou Sue, 79, of Allegany, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, surrounded by her family.

She is survived by her husband, Donald E. Sue, to whom she was married for sixty years; children — Mark (Tammy) Sue and Dawn Marlett, both of Allegany, NY; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother Dale (Robin) Stucker of Allegany; sister Carolyn Erickson of Winner, SD; and her special friend Gail Vida Smith of Olean, NY.
