The weight of expectation

What will they think? What will they say? Will it be good enough? Will I be good enough? Many of us have fallen captive to these familiar questions or doubts. The weight of these things in our mind can be exhausting and fill us with paralyzing anxiety, resulting in avoidance of situations or people because it just feels easier.

Farmers and ranchers across the country continue to be stewards of the land

For generations, beef farmers and ranchers have been implementing sustainable practices to ensure the health and longevity of the land they rely on to raise cattle. A Note From Cottonwood Corners

In May of 1858, a group of men and women from Manit orville, Minnesota, were on their way to Pike’s Peak when they passed Bon Homme Island in the Missouri River below the mouth of the Niobrara River. They were on their way to Colorado in search of gold.

A CANADIAN PERSPECTIVE

ERSPECTIVE Twenty-two years ago, four hijacked airplanes crashed in three locations in the US, most notably the two planes that crashed into the twin trade towers in New York, causing almost 3000 deaths (hundreds of them Canadians) and sparking a national crisis. The divided forces in this country came together under President Bush, and with the help of other democracies, retaliated by going to war against the initiating Islamic forces in Afghanistan and Iraq. Now, those responsible have been driven back to Iran, where the medieval, religious, cleric government struggles to remain in power so they can supply munitions to Russia and keep control over 90 million citizens, where women are viewed as childbearing possessions.

Shall not be infringed

South Dakota has been setting the standard as the most Second, Amendment-friendly state in the nation for years. We embrace liberty and personal responsibility. We know that our Founding Fathers created a government that recognizes our God-given rights – including the right to defend ourselves, our families, and our freedoms.
