Downtown to get some love

Rachelle Bloom of the Gregory Economic Development Group (GED) presented the group’s plans for the downtown park, located between Southern Plains Behavioral Health and the movie theater. GED has worked with Kirwan Design for a zero-to-low maintenance plan which includes several phases of development to allow for the group to raise funding.

Kirsch joins Brain, Nerve & Spine as message therapist

Hayley Kirsch is the new massage therapist at Brain, Nerve & Spine as of February 23, 2026. Originally from Colorado, Kirsch moved to Springview, NE, the end of 2024 after marrying a man there she met through a classmate at Frontier School of the Bible in Wyoming.

SD Rodeo Association honors Ty Dean

For 15 years, Ty Dean has shown up to the SDRA Finals with a binder full of research and a wit so natural and quick most people can’t keep up. While he’s a salesman by trade and a team roper by birth, his true calling is as a rodeo announcer.

Colome ties for 2nd place at Great American Water Taste Test

The Town of Colome, SD, tied for second place at the 27th Annual Great American Water Taste Test, held on February 4, 2026, during the 2026 Rural Water Rally in Washington, D.C. The competition featured 41 drinking water samples from across the United States.
