Gregory County FFA students attend National FFA Convention

The Gregory County FFA Chapter attended the National FFA Convention on October 27 through October 30 in Indianapolis, IN. The members in attendance were, l to r: Savannah Schrader, Avery Zeisler, Dori Bruns, Justin Vomacka, Cody Williams, Fin Adams, and Advisor Mollie Andrews. Students traveled with members from other chapters in South Dakota, met people from all over the world, attended several general sessions, learned more about vendors and colleges, and participated in tours and activities related to industries in agriculture.

Flower shops will collect tons of food for charity

Florists across central United States will gather over 20 tons of food for those in need November 8-13, 2021. Dubbed “Caring Rose Week,” the stores are deeply discounting bouquets of one dozen roses and accepting canned goods as partial payment.

Karl’s TV and Appliance to help collect wheelchairs

Hope Haven International Ministries is conducting a regional wheelchair drive November 1 through December 31, 2021. Karl’s TV & Appliance locations throughout the upper Midwest will serve as designated collection sites for community members to drop off their new or used wheelchairs and mobility aids (no power wheelchairs or wooden crutches/canes are being accepted at this time).
