Med student Riley Paulsen spends month in Gregory

Riley Paulsen, a second-year medical student at the University of South Dakota, is currently completing a one-month rotation at Avera Medical Group Gregory and Avera Gregory Hospital. A native of Yankton, SD, Paulsen graduated from high school in 2011 prior to earning undergraduate degrees in chemistry, biology, and physics as well as a PhD in neuroscience at USD.

Dixon Town Hall needs you

Dixon Town Hall received some much-needed attention over the summer. Windows, siding, paint, a door, and insulation transformed the building into a showpiece once again. And it was time. The old 1916 structure has seen over a century of rain, sun, hail, snow, and just general wear, and was still sporting most of its original building materials. Before arriving at its current location, it had been used for church services, school, public meetings, and as a silent movie house.
