R-CALF USA urges stronger federal grazing protections in proposed BLM rule

BILLINGS, Mont., July 17, 2026 – R-CALF USA submitted formal comments on the Bureau of Land Management’s (BLM) proposed revisions to its grazing regulations. The proposal marks the first significant changes to BLM grazing policy in decades. While calling the proposal a long-needed step in the right direction, the organization recommended additional changes to improve the manner in which grazing is administered by the BLM, strengthen livestock production, and restore grazing capacity across the West.

Applications for affordable housing and community development programs being accepted

PIERRE, S.D. – South Dakota Housing (SDH) is now accepting applications for one state funded program and several federal funding programs that help communities meet their housing needs. Funding is available in 2026 through the HOME Investment Partnerships, Housing Tax Credit, Housing Opportunity Fund, Housing Trust Fund and Emergency Solutions Grants programs.
