Carson Walker, SD News Watch Elementary and middle school students from around South Dakota will compete Saturday, Feb. 7, in the state spelling bee at Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell.

The Burke/Gregory Storm girls traveled to Gettysburg on Friday, January 16, 2026, for the Battler Girls Wrestling Tournament. In a field of 18 teams, the Storm girls placed 8th with 49.5 points.

Girls Storm wrestlers compete at Mid Dakota Bride of the Monster

The Burke/Gregory girls Storm wrestlers participated in The Mid Dakota Bride of the Monster tournament in Presho on Saturday, January 10, 2026. With 38 teams, the tournament was very large, and Coach Joel Johnson thought the girls performed very well.
