The 31st annual East-West Shootout, sponsored by the Gregory Athletics Club, was held on Monday, March 18, 2024, at the Gregory Memorial Auditorium. Boys’ Game The West defeated the East by a score of 112 to 104.

The Gregory Gorillas opened the State B basketball tournament on Thursday, March 14, at the Barnett Center in Aberdeen with a first round matchup against three time defending State Champion DeSmet. The Gorillas flexed their defensive muscles in the first quarter, holding the Bulldogs to just three points while leading 9-3 after one quarter.

Governor Kristi Noem signed HB 1231, which places restrictions on the ownership of agricultural land, stopping six evil foreign governments and foreign entities from those governments from buying up South Dakota’s precious ag land, into law.

The Gregory Gorillas started Region 5B play with a 76-47 victory over the Burke Cougars on Tuesday evening, February 27, 2024, in front of the home crowd. The Gorillas got off to a blazing start and led 26-12 after one quarter.

Gregory hosted Colome in the first round region playoff game on Monday, February 19, 2024. The Gorillas jumped out early and led 22 to 7 after the first quarter and 45 to 12 at halftime.

The South Dakota State High School wrestling tournament was held in Sioux Falls on February 22-24, 2024. The Burke/Gregory Storm wrestling team had four wrestlers compete.
