Storm wrestlers extend dual record to 7-2, place 5th in Winner

The Burke/Gregory Storm wrestlers had two meets last week - a triangular hosted by Lyman and the Winner Invitational Tournament. The Storm won both of their duals at the Lyman triangular, beating Lyman 51-21 and Wessington Springs/Woonsocket/Wolsey-Wessington 38-34.

SDHSAA begins classification, calendar study

The South Dakota High School Activities Association is embarking on a two-fold mission to study its classification system as well as the calendar it uses for scheduling high school activities. “Our goal would be to have a report ready for our June meeting,” SDHSAA Executive Director Dan Swartos told the board of directors.

Rules adopted for first season of girls’softball

A game hasn’t been played yet by the newly SDHSAA-sanctioned softball teams, but the South Dakota High School Activities Association board of directors spent some time on Wednesday ensuring that there were rules in place for the proper stoppage of play.

Gorillas extend their winning streak to 5-1

The Gorillas traveled to Wagner on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, where they defeated the Red Raiders 58-48. The Gorillas led at all quarter breaks by as many as 14 points, but could not put the pesky Raiders away.
