Gorillas down Bennett County 50-0

Last Friday night the Gregory Gorillas football team traveled to Martin to face the Bennett County Warriors for the first time in recent history. The Gorillas dominated both sides of the ball and eventually ended the game with the score of 50-0.

Gregory cross country runs at Scotland

The Gregory cross country team traveled to Scotland to run in the Scotland Invitational on Tuesday, September 6. In the middle school girls race Kennley Sedlacek came in fifth place with a 9:20, and Brynn Bearshield came across in 28th with a 11:43.

Gregory cross country team participates in Augustana Twilight Meet

Gregory had some runner participate in the Augustana Twilight meet held Friday, September 2, at Yankton Trail Park in Sioux Falls. In the boys varsity division, Fin Adams was Gregory’s top finisher in 133rd place with a personal record of 18:02.

Gorillas defeat the Platte-Geddes Panthers, to improve record to 2-0

East met west on Friday night for a battle over the bridge, when the Gregory Gorillas traveled to Platte to meet the Panthers for their second game of the season. Despite it being week three of the high school football season, both teams only had one game under their belts due to a week one bye.

Competitive cheer and dance team hosts first competition

The Gregory High School cheer and dance team hosted their first meet of the season on Saturday, August 27. In the dance portion of the competition, the Gregory team placed fifth, with scores of 124 in pom and 127 in hip hop for an average of 125.5.

Gorillas win decisive victory in season opener

The Gregory Gorillas football team showed dominance on the field in a 60-34 win at home against Wolsey-Wessington Friday night. A scoreless first quarter turned into a 16-8 lead for the Gorillas by half-time.
