    R-CALF USA statement on presidential order to investigate entire food supply chain

    On December 6, 2025, President Donald J. Trump issued an executive order titled, “Addressing Security Risks from Price Fixing and Anti-Competitive Behavior in the Food Supply Chain.” The order directs the attorney general and the chairman of the Federal Trade Commission to each establish a task force to determine whether anticompetitive behavior exists in food supply chains and whether control by foreign entities is increasing the cost of food in the United States.

    Avera Grant supports new LATC nursing simulation center in Pierre

    Lake Area Technical College (LATC) and Avera announced today the upcoming construction/ remodel of a high-tech nursing simulation center at Pierre’s Capital City Campus. A grant from Avera will provide improved equipment and technology for LATC’s nursing program.
