On December 8, State Representative Jim Halverson officially announced his candidacy for reelection to the South Dakota State House of Representatives, seeking to continue serving the residents of District 21.

The regular meeting of the Gregory County Board of Commissioners was held at 9 a.m., Tuesday, December 2, 2025. Commissioners sign agreement with GF&P Highway Superintendent Bob Nelson presented a 2026 agreement with SD Game, Fish & Parks for the Gregory Highway Department to perform gravel and dust control on 3.1 miles of Buryanek Road going into Buryanek Recreation Area.

The GHS Oral Interpretation Team traveled to the 116th annual Oral Interpretation Festival this past weekend in Watertown. The team had five pieces qualify for the festival, and all five received superior rankings. Because oral interpretation is very subjective, the judges do not place the contestants from first to last, thus making it a festival and not a tournament. The goal is to receive a superior ranking.
