    Council determines new generator not necessary at auditorium

    The regular meeting of the Gregory City Council was held at 6 p.m., Tuesday, February 17, 2026. Public Works Superintendent Guhner Kepler, responding to inquiries made at previous meetings, checked into the price for a diesel generator large enough to power Gregory Memorial Auditorium.

    Andrew Marshall is the new store manager at Karl’s TV and Appliance

    Andrew Marshall has been hired as the new store manager for Karl’s TV and Appliance’s Gregory store. Marshall comes to the job with some experience in sales by working for Appeara the last four years and brings a strong leadership background earned through 12 years in the South National Guard.

    Six Storm wrestlers are headed to State

    Region tournaments for wrestling were held Friday and Saturday, and the Burke/Gregory Storm finished with six wrestlers headed to the state tournament. The girls wrestled in the Region 3 Tournament on Friday, February 20, 2026, in Mitchell.

    Engineers meet with city officials to discuss infrastructure project

    Representatives from the engineering firm SPN & Associates, the company that is doing the engineering work for the city’s water and sewer project, met with city officials Wednesday evening, February 18, 2026, for a question and answer session. As this was only an informational meeting, no action was taken. The following is recap of what was discussed.

    New business opens in Gregory

    Ben and Brenna Painter of Springview, NE, have opened 7th Street Antiques and Collectibles in the Gregory Times-Advocate building at 119 E. 7th Street.
