Cross Country run at Wagner Invite

The cross country team participated in the Wagner invite at the Pickstown golf course on September 14, 2026. In the varsity boys division, George Timanus ran a season best time of 20:09 and finished in 9th place.

Spikers face tough competition, look ahead to senior night

The Lady Spikers had another busy week of volleyball with a trip to Parkston to face the Lady Trojans on Tuesday and welcoming the Stuart Broncos to town on Thursday. Tuesday, September 15 the Spikers played 3 matches in Parkston against the tough Lady Trojans during their homecoming week.

Gorillas Fall to Beavers 45-6

The Gregory Gorillas traveled to Alexandria on Friday, September 18 to take on the Hanson Beavers. The Gorillas, coming off their win against the TDAACDC Thunder Hawks, battled a tough Hanson Beaver team, and suffered a 45-6 loss.

Lady Spikers continue to battle on the court

by Coach Dana Knuppe On Tuesday, the Lady Spikers made the long trip to Wessington Springs for two games. The JV came out strong and held a lead for most of the first set.

Gorillas defeat the Thunder Hawks 40-6

The Gregory/Colome Gorillas improved their record to 1-2 on the season with a 40-6 home win against the TDAACDC Thunder Hawks. In the first quarter, the Gorillas put together a nice drive and scored on a David Biggins 36 yard run. Wyatt Beck added the two-point conversion, and the Gorillas took an early lead. The Gorillas forced the Thunder Hawks to a three and out and quickly scored the second touchdown on a Wyatt Beck 4 yard burst. Early in the second quarter, Jacob Klein found Avery Sengelmann sprinting down the sideline for a 75 yard touchdown completion. Wyatt Beck quickly punched in the two-point conversion. The Gorillas continued to play solid defense, and David Biggins scored his second touchdown of the night on an 8-yard run. The Gregory/Colome Gorillas led 28-0 at the intermission. In the second half, the Gorillas scored two more touchdowns and took a commanding lead 40-0. TDAACDC scored late in the fourth quarter, and the final score ended up 40-6.

Cross country tackles tough Scotland Course

The Gregory cross country team participated in the Scotland invite on September 8. 'We didn't have much of a recovery time, as we ran at the Augie Twilight the Friday before this meet. Scotland is a tough course and overall our times were not as good as we wanted them to be.'

Cheer and dance team wows judges with fun routines

The Gregory cheer and dance team competed in Winner on Saturday, September 12, 2026. The judges enjoyed the hip hop routine, commenting on how fun it is and the girls’ great facial expressions.

Reporter of the facts

I do not have the most current numbers and leaders so I will tell you who was leading etc. as of last week. Cerny, Inc., aka, Al Cerny and Ken Cerny are leading the pack. Al has been working on his handicap and I think he now has it in shape to make a run during the playoffs.

Lady Spikers continue to battle as season moves forward

This week the Lady Spikers continued their travels with games in Chamberlain and Presho. However, the Varsity ladies got a chance to play in front of a home crowd on Saturday with annual Gregory Invitational Tournament.
