The Gregory 8U softball team captured the league tournament championship on Saturday, capping off an impressive season. Gregory opened the tournament with a 13-4 victory over Clearfield before defeating Winner Gold 11-5 in the semifinals. In a thrilling championship game, Gregory edged Lyman 8-7 to claim the title, avenging its only regular-season loss. Gregory entered the tournament with a 10-1 league record, with the lone defeat coming against Lyman.

The Irish got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after James Eby singled to center field, Turner Heiss doubled down the left field line, and Drake Berg flew out, each soring one run.

Gregory County FFA attended land and range days in Belle Fourche Monday, June 8 and Tuesday, June 9, 2026. School is out but the learning still continues! Students had the opportunity to practice plant identification, ecological sites, and worked with NRCS staff.
