One hundred and five compete in the annual 4th of July Fun

There were 105 runners and walkers that registered for the annual Run Fun sponsored by Avera Gregory Healthcare Center and the Gregory Athletics Club, held the morning of the 4th of July. Following are the top three place winners for each event.

Gregory 14U softball team claims 2nd place at the Rosebud League Championship

The Gregory 14U softball team entered the Rosebud League Tournament as the sixth seed with a regular season record of 3-5. The six-team tournament was hosted by Clearfield on July 5 and 6. Teams included were Valentine, Clearfield, Winner, Burke, and Chamberlain. (Lyman unfortunately had to forfeit due to scheduling conflicts.)

Gregory Teeners 16U fall to Stanley Co.

Wednesday’s game against Stanley County was a heartbreaker for Gregory County 16U, as they lost the lead late in an 8-7 defeat. The game was tied at seven with Stanley County batting in the top of the eighth when an error scored one run for Stanley County.

Legion 18U beats Winner/ Colome for holiday home crowd

Gregory County Legion 3 Tabor Legion 9 Gregory County Legion 18U couldn’t keep up with Tabor Legion Post 183 and fell 9-3 on Saturday, July 1. Tabor got on the board in the first inning after an error scored one run.

Gregory Teeners 16 U start the week with a big win

Gregory 13 - Chamberlain 6 The Gregory Teeners 16U stole the lead late in the game in a 13-6 victory over Chamberlain 14U on Wednesday. The game was tied at five with Gregory batting in the top of the fifth when Pierce Stukel singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run.

Teeners extend record to 7-2

Gregory Teeners 9 - Letcher 6 (No stats are available for this game.) Gregory Teeners 4 Parkston 14 Gregory Teeners 16U watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 14-4 loss to Parkston on Saturday, June 24, in Winner. Gregory struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Parkston, giving up 14 runs.
