The 17th Annual Memorial Golf Tournament was held this past Saturday. Justin Keegan and Brandon Arizmendis were in charge of the tournament, which was again a success.

Gregory Teeners 16U defeated Chamberlain 16U 7-5 at home on Wednesday, June 21, after taking the lead late in the game. Gregory trailed 2-1 in the bottom of the sixth inning when an error scored two runs for the team.

Jacob Klein was brilliant on the mound on Friday, June 16, throwing a no-hitter to lead the Gregory Majors past the Lyman Majors 14-0. Gregory opened up scoring in the first inning when Otto Reber drove in one run on a double.

Gregory Jr. Teeners showed up ready to play ball in the first round of the region tournament in Platte on Monday, June 11, in a three-inning 20-0 blowout against Corsica-Stickney.

Gregory Teeners 16U’s four pitchers didn’t allow a single hit as Gregory defeated Valentine Juniors 11-2 on Wednesday, June 14, in Valentine. Jayder Schonebaum struck out Beauvais to get the last out of the game.

Gregory County Legion 18U took home a 5-1 victory over Wagner at home on Tuesday, June 13. Gannon Thomas led things off on the mound for Gregory, lasting three innings and allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out six and walking one.

Gregory County Legion 18U outhit Winner/Colome eight to seven, but it wasn’t enough in an 8-6 loss Wednesday evening, June 7, in Winner. Winner/Colome opened up scoring in the first inning, when Barfuss tripled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.

Gregory Teeners 16U watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 12-2 loss to Winner/Colome Jr. Legion on Wednesday, June 7, in Winner. Winner/Colome took the lead on a triple in the first inning.

There were no shortage of struggles on the golf course during week two for the women. A light rain, an injury, and a flat tire to name a few. But a significant other or two to work on the tire and a little sun worked wonders. A mere half point separated team VanDerWerff/VanDerWerff from Team Bakke /VanDerWerff for the lead for the week. Team Stukel/ Stoddard were right behind them in third place.
