Even though South Central Storm collected eight hits to Kimball/White Lake’s seven, they still fell 14-3 on Thursday, May 19, at home. The Storm struggled to contain the high-powered offense of KWL, giving up 14 runs.

Big third inning propels Gregory Co. JV over Martin

Gregory County JV defeated Martin 10-2 on Wednesday, May 18, in Martin, thanks to six runs in the third inning. Gregory County’s offense in the inning came from singles by Kade Fortuna and Carter Baumgartner, a walk by Landon Keiser, and a groundout by Hudson Fuhrer.

Gregory County JV fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 12-2 loss to Winner on Tuesday, May 17, at home. Gregory County struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Winner, giving up 12 runs.

Late score costs Gregory Co. against Winner/Colome

Gregory County’s game against the Winner/Colome Royals at home on Tuesday, May 17, was a heartbreaker as they lost the lead late in a 6-5 defeat. Gregory County got things moving in the first inning, when Rylan Peck singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Gregory takes 78 entries to 5th-8th grade contest

On Friday, May 6th, the Gregory 5th-8th grade band students participated in the area instrumental solo music contest at Winner. Gregory had a total of 8 I+s, 40 Is, 8 I-s, 1 II+s, 19 IIs, and 2 IIIs for a total of 78 entries

Gregory High School students earning three sport letters for 2021-2022 were recognized during awards night held on Monday, May 9, 2022. Strong offense not enough as Storm falls to Platte Killer Tomatoes

Both Platte Killer Tomatoes and South Central Storm had their offenses going on Thursday, May 12, but the Storm eventually succumbed 17-7 in the high-scoring affair. The Storm struggled to contain the high-powered offense of the Killer Tomatoes, giving up 17 runs.
