Gregory County 11 - Martin 2 An early lead helped Gregory County defeat Martin 11-2 on Monday. Gregory County scored on a home run by Rylan Peck in the first inning, a single by Bryce Frank in the second inning, and a fielder’s choice during Trey Murray’s at bat in the second inning.

Boys golf team wins Bon Homme tourney

The Gregory High School boys golf team claimed three of the top four spots to win the Bon Homme Golf Tournament on Friday, May 13, with 224 points. Platte finished second with 246, and Bon Homme came in third at their home course with 255. Burke ended the day with 268 for fourth place, followed by Scotland/Menno in fifth with 273.

Plankinton Bankers defeats South Central Storm by a score of 10-8

South Central Storm 8 - Plankinton Bankers 10 Despite an 8-run deficit in the fifth inning, South Central Storm almost came all the way back, eventually falling 10-8 to the Plankinton Bankers on Sunday, May 15. The Storm scored seven runs in the failed comeback on a double by Christian Schweigert in the sixth, a stolen base by Schweigert in the sixth, a walk by Aaron Sundquist in the sixth, a single by Sundquist in the ninth, a single by Tommy Determan in the ninth, and a double by Schweigert in the ninth.

Gregory County Varsity loses close one to CKL

Chamberlain/Kimball/Lyman Varsity defeated Gregory County 3-1 on Tuesday, May 3, after taking the lead late in the game. The game was tied at one with CKL batting in the bottom of the fifth when Wiekamp singled on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs.

Gregory County JV drops two games

Gregory County JV fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 19-2 loss to the St. Thomas More Cavaliers on Sunday, May 1.

Gregory tracksters compete at Legends Track Meet in Burke

The Gregory boys team finished in second place at the Legends Track Meet in Burke on Tuesday, May 3, 2022. The Burke team won their home meet with a score of 76, besting Gregory by 8 points. Winner ended the day with 64, followed by Kimball/White Lake with 53, and Platte-Geddes rounded out the top five with 50 points.
