Boys and dirt go together like apple pie and ice cream, Batman and Robin, or cheese and crackers. So it was no surprise that the first, and hopefully annual, garden tractor plow day and pull drew as many participants as it did on Sunday afternoon, October 26, 2025, just east of town.

Although the weather wasn’t conducive to spending a pleasant afternoon outdoors, and the day didn’t end in much of a competition, the participants, young and older alike, thoroughly enjoyed taking their lawn tractors up and down the field, vying for as straight a line as they could or pulling more weight than the others.

Organizer Byron Grim plans to have more events like this in the future, but is hoping the enthusiastic participants will take on more of the tasks of organizing them.
