Gregory County Catholic parishes hold eucharistic procession

Altar servers led the procession, carrying incense and the cross. Behind them were palm bearers, flower girls, Fr. Godfrey and Deacon Ekroth. Fr. Dillon carried the Blessed Sacrament, walking under a canopy supported by men from the different parishes. They were followed by musicians and a prayer leader, the Catholic Daughters and Knights of Columbus, and lots and lots of people walking and driving their vehicles. The Gregory Police Department provided an escort at the beginning of the procession.

Fr. Godfrey Muwanga, Gregory County’s former pastor, surprised almost everyone when he showed up for the festivities. He and Deacon GW Ekroth are shown here in front of Fr. The date of the eucharistic procession was the tenth anniversary of Fr. Dillon’s ordination.
