New crow’s nest makes debut at state tourney

The new crow’s nest at the Gregory Park ballfield was operational, though not complete, for the VFW State Baseball Tournament, held July 24-26. With no air conditioning installed yet, the announcer and others in the booth suffered along with everyone — else and maybe even more so — from the sweltering heat. Dedication of the new crow’s next will be held next summer.
