Program held to celebrate Gregory as a Purple Heart City

They are the two living Purple Heart recipients in Gregory who were recognized at the ceremony, held on National Purple Heart Day, August 7, 2025, at the Gregory American Legion. The Purple Heart is awarded to those injured or killed in combat. Gregory was proclaimed a Purple Heart City earlier this year.
