Inside, the bar is decorated with antiques that Dennis uncovered as he cut the waisthigh grass that had grown over the treasures from the past.
The establishment’s sign greets travelers along the highway.
A section of track from the Chicago Railroad that arrived in 1906 is still intact in the lawn.
The entrance to the tavern is on the west side of the building. The lawn is scattered with miscellaneous antiques that Dennis has uncovered, as well as yard games and seating.
The bar was already there when the Kortmeyers purchased the building, but the room, formerly a gift shop, was painted pink, green, and yellow.
Chairs in front of the elevator provide a seat to watch cars drive by.
