SP5 John Beckers honored in bridge dedication ceremony

John’s brother Bill, who also served in Vietnam, is shown here next to the sign designating the bridge has been named in honor of his brother.

John’s cousin Lt. Col. Bob Beckers was a chaplain stationed in the same area as John. He was the one to identify John’s remains. The 95-year-old traveled from Kansas City to participate in the dedication ceremony.
