Welcome to Gregory sign installed at the Municipal Airport/Flynn Field

The new Welcome to Gregory South Dakota sign is in the big hangar at the Gregory Municipal Airport/Flynn Field. This sign is meant to welcome pilots to our area and serve as a thank you for choosing Gregory Municipal Airport. There is also a new sign listing the hangar fees and a convenient drop box for payment. The new signs were paid for with money the airport receives from the fuel taxes.

The new strap system on the hangar doors is a safety and maintenance upgrade for the large door on our hangar. The original system was cable that could fray and snap causing a dangerous situation to both pilots and planes. The new strap system was recommended by Mr. Dave Howard of Winner and the original door installers, Schweiss Door Co. To help pay for the upgrade, the finance offices turned in airport receipts to claim the last $22,000 available to the city from the Airport Covid Program.
