The South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks (GFP) has issued a prospectus for the operation of a marina and restaurant at Snake Creek Recreation Area. The prospectus is now available online and through the Department of Game, Fish and Parks.

Originally, each town in Gregory County had organized their own Historical Society, preserving the history of this area. It has been stated that Louis Lillibridge was one of those that was instrumental in organizing the Gregory County Historical Society. When that happened, some of the smaller towns eventually dissolved and combined with the Gregory County Historical Society. In approximately 1972, they officially organized and filed articles of incorporation with the State office. With that filed, the clubs in Lucas, Herrick, Dallas, Gregory, Burke, and Bonesteel disbanded.
