Meaning and connections

Many of you gathered with family and friends this past week to celebrate the Thanksgiving Holiday. Often this is an exciting and special time of year. Some of us welcome the festivities, enjoy the Christmas music, shopping and events. For others, another version of Jingle Bells on the radio brings tension, not joy, and the thought of participating in yet another holiday gathering drains our battery. Do not expect to move through the holidays without feeling a myriad of emotions (happy, sad, mad, scared, etc.). It is normal to feel our sorrows during a time where we are supposed to be happy and festive.

3D mammograms being performed

Winner Regional Health recently announced that beginning on November 21, 2022, they have begun performing 3D mammograms. They were hoping to get this notice out sooner; however, they were able to work through some final obstacles that allowed them to move forward with performing 3D mammograms. They sincerely apologize for the delay in getting this service available to the community, as they had experienced some technical issues and personnel shortages as a result of injury and health issues. Again, words can not convey their appreciation for your patience as they work through these obstacles. It is their hope that they can make such a screening process as comfortable as possible by healthcare professionals you know and trust.
