Southern Plains Behavioral Health Services will hold their 3rd annual butterfly release at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at the Gregory Park Performance Center. Increased public library usage shown by IMLS survey data

The Institute of Museum and Library Services has released the latest data from its Public Libraries Survey (PLS). Each year since 1988, the PLS has provided a national census of America’s public libraries. The data are collected from approximately 9,000 public library systems comprised of over 17,000 individual main libraries, library branches, and bookmobiles in the 50 states, the District of Columbia, and U.S. territories.

Local librarian achieves certification

In August 2025, the State Library proudly awarded certification to 36 librarians representing 25 libraries, including Gregory Public Library Director Tara Engel. This voluntary certification program honors library directors and staff who have successfully met the established certification standards.

Gregory Co. FFA to host Test Plot Field Day

The Gregory County FFA Chapter will host its first annual Test Plot Field Day on Monday September 8, 2025, at Tom and Rhonda Waterbury’s field located just east of Gregory. The address is 28834 338th Ave. but is located just west of South Central Livestock Supply. There will be signs posted. The event will go from 6-8 p.m.

Gregory Swimmers make a splash this summer on Platte Swim Team

Gregory swimmers made waves this season, showing strong performances and team spirit this summer. Gregory swimmers from 7-14 years old, dove into the pool with determination, bringing home personal bests, medals, and plenty of cheers from teammates and fans.

Fall hunting season is here
