Fire at Vosika home results in total loss

A fire broke out at the home of Melvin Vosika Monday evening. Fire Chief Joel Bartling determined the cause to be electrical. The Gregory Fire Department was assisted by the Burke Fire Department with a water tank. They battled the blaze in -6˚ temperature, but the house was a total loss.

Snowpocalypse hits the area

Last week’s forecast started out predicting rain changing to snow by Tuesday, with snow ending Wednesday afternoon. Students at the Gregory School District were excited, as Mr. Hansen, who is never wrong, said that Tuesday would have an early dismissal, classes would be canceled Wednesday and Thursday, and Friday would have a late start.
