Meaning and connections

Many of you gathered with family and friends this past week to celebrate the Thanksgiving Holiday. Often this is an exciting and special time of year. Some of us welcome the festivities, enjoy the Christmas music, shopping and events. For others, another version of Jingle Bells on the radio brings tension, not joy, and the thought of participating in yet another holiday gathering drains our battery. Do not expect to move through the holidays without feeling a myriad of emotions (happy, sad, mad, scared, etc.). It is normal to feel our sorrows during a time where we are supposed to be happy and festive.

Keep scammers from playing the Grinch this year

Online scams cost Americans nearly $7 billion throughout 2021, according to the FBI, and with the holiday shopping season ramping up, it’s vital that people understand how to avoid falling victim to scams.
