SD to end federal pandemic unemployment benefits

Wednesday, May 12, Governor Kristi Noem and the South Dakota Department of Labor and Regulation (DLR) announced that South Dakota will terminate its participation in the federal government’s pandemic-related unemployment assistance programs.

Gregory Co. 4-H holds summer programs for the youth of the area

Succulent gardening was part of Gregory County 4-H’s Summer Discovery series. On Monday, May 24th, the children personalized flowerpots, played a fun game of Red Rover, learned about how important oxygen and drainage are to soil, and planted their very own mini succulent gardens. They were able to take their pots home and watch them grow.

Sons of American Legion to host meeting

The Sons of the American Legion will be holding their monthly meeting on Wednesday, June 16th, at the Legion Post in Gregory. The meeting will start at 7:00 p.m. and all members and potential members are encouraged to attend.

USD announces spring dean’s list and academic honors

More than 2,100 students at the University of South Dakota at Vermillion are being honored for their high achievement during the spring 2021 semester with the release of the dean’s list. Full-time, undergraduate students are named to the dean’s list if they received a 3.5 GPA for courses they took in the spring 2021 semester, and they had no incomplete or failing grades.
