Thirty voters turned out for the municipal election held Tuesday, April 8, 2025, to determine who will fill the Ward I seat on the city council. With this being the lone race on the ballot, only residents in Ward I were eligible to cast a vote.

A single vehicle fatal crash occurred at approximately 10:15 a.m., Sunday, April 13, 2025, four miles west of Gregory. The driver, a 15-year-old female from Gregory, was wearing a seat belt and received life-threatening injuries.

In the Gorilla Good News portion of the Gregory School District Board of Education regular meeting, Thursday, April 10, 2025, Mollie Andrews, FFA advisor reported that the chapter had recently finished the state FFA convention. Of the 44 students who participated in spring CDEs, 23 qualified for state—five teams and three individuals.
