This is the second in a series of articles about the history of the hospital and nursing home in Gregory. The idea for a nursing home in Gregory came about as a result of a chance remark.

Gregory High School senior Ryler Stevicks has had a dream for a trophy case at the new high school since he was in junior high, and recently, with the help of his fellow classmates, that dream has become a reality.

Building on last year’s success at state, the Gregory competitive cheer and dance team brought home another plaque this year. The day started off with hip hop, the team’s strongest event.

The Gregory cross country runners ran at the state cross country meet on October 26, in Rapid City. Gregory was represented by Fin Adams and Luke Barreto for the boys and Abigail Engel for the girls.

On Sunday, Oct. 20, GHS held its annual oral interpretation contest for local high school students. Eighteen students performed various pieces for audience members and a panel of judges. The winners in each of the seven categories advanced to districts.
