Krcil indicted on numerous counts

Trevor Jon Krcil, 36, Burke, SD, has been indicted for first incident on commission of felony while armed with a firearm, second degree burglary, third degree burglary, false reporting to authorities (2 counts), violation of a protection order, stalking, and criminal entry of motor vehicle after an incident that occurred between July 20 and 22, 2024.

Ed Dostal was in attendance at the regular meeting of the Gregory County Board of Commissioners, held at 9:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 21, 2024, to comment on the second and final reading of the county’s wind energy systems ordinance. In addition, Tom Madsen, who has been working with Dostal to establish a wind farm on his land, was on the phone to discuss the ordinance.

Grain elevators closing leave farmers with fewer choices

Earlier this year, Hansen-Mueller shut down and sold the grain elevator in Gregory, followed a few months later by the announcement that CHS is shutting down the elevator in Dallas. These closures leave the area with only the CHS elevators in Fairfax and Winner in operation.
