Summer-time youth football in Gregory

The Gregory varsity football team hosted the 20th youth football camp at Mike Dacy field last week. Ninety-four campers ages six to twelve attended the event to learn more about the great game of football. Gregory football players and coaches were instructors for the camp and opened each session with football fundamentals, drills, and skills. Campers were sent to different stations around the field to practice running, tackling, passing, catching, and blocking utiliz-ing cones, bags, and pads. After a much-needed popsicle break all campers were split into teams for flag football games. All campers received a camp tee shirt and some grass stains free of charge.

Gregory golfers compete in Mitchell

Results from Friday’s varsity pre-region golf tournament in Mitchell are as follows: Trey Murray.............. 79 6th Luke Stukel............... 87 15th Jhett Eklund.............. 89 Kade Braun............... 94 Asia VanDerWerff.... 115 The region golf tournament was postponed on Tuesday due to rain. It will be held in Mitchell on Wednesday, May 22, 2024.

Gregory Co. baseball ends season with 8-4 record

Monday’s game against Belle Fourche Broncs was a heartbreaker for Gregory County, as they lost the lead late in a 3-1 defeat. Gregory was host for the varsity baseball region tournament on Monday, May 20, and played the first game of the tournament, facing the Belle Fourche Broncs.
