Gregory County FFA started their spring season by competing in their first Career Development Contest (CDE) in Bridgewater/ Emery on March 11. These events challenge members to devleop critical thinking skills and effective decision-making skills, foster teamwork, and promote communication while recognizing the value of ethical competition and individual achievement.

Back in December, when I gave my annual Budget Address to the state legislature, I told them that we had to remember our core function as the state governments. I told them that we needed to prioritize people, not projects. Our primary responsibility is to serve the people of the great state of South Dakota. And now, as we have wrapped up the 2024 legislative session, I am proud to say that we have done just that.

You see, the multinational meatpackers were allowed to affix a “Product of the USA” label on meat that was exclusively produced in a foreign country.

Funeral services to be held for Corine Thomas Funeral services for Corine Thomas, age 85, of Gregory, SD, will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Gregory, SD. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. A prayer service will be held Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at 7:30 p.m. at the church. Visitation is thirty minutes prior to each service.
