Golf is in full swing for the 2023 women’s league season. To start off the year, Sue Hogue and Denise Croegaert hosted the first monthly fun night. It was a beautiful evening and a highly enjoyable way to shake off the winter rust and get back into the game.

The continued revival of interest among state legislatures in posting the Ten Commandments in public schools may present to the U.S. Supreme Court an opportunity to reverse yet another decades-old, landmark precedent, this time one that prohibits such displays on grounds that they promote religion in violation of the First Amendment’s Establishment Clause.

Ana Smiley is the new director for the Gregory/Dallas Chamber of Commerce. Smiley’s association with the Chamber is probably known to most area residents. She has been serving as the interim director since February 20, 2023.
