Dinner and a Show fills the auditorium

You can’t find many places to attend dinner and a show these days, but the Gregory High School music department did one up in style Thursday evening, March 30, at Gregory Memorial Auditorium. Performing pieces that the audience normally wouldn’t see at their concerts, the students showcased their vocal and instrumental talents in a non-stop line-up of music that ranged from rock and pop to African, Latin, and classic tunes, culminating with a performance by Gregory High School’s ever popular jazz band.

Community Connections in Winner welcomes Rescues Unlimited

Rescues Unlimited, operated by Dale and Marie Hanna, was invited to the Community Connections facility in Winner, SD, by Emily Fay, the activities director, to participate in National Puppy Day. Katie Harris, Rose McCauley, Larry FireCloud, and Stephanie Wright, all foster parents for Rescues Unlimited, brought rescue puppies for the people at the Connections center to hold, kiss, and snuggle.

Police Chief Catts attends grant-writing workshop

Recently Police Chief Doug Catts attended a grant-writing workshop put on by the South Dakota Department of Public Safety (DPS). Officer Catts learned about the workshop through a contact he made while networking around the state.

Prairie Patriots need assistance in giving appreciation to workers

Prairie Patriots needs your help! After this rough winter, we would like to give thanks where thanks is due. We’re planning an appreciation meal for the county, state and city road crews, as well as the REA workers and their families.
