The Gregory High School Marching Gorillas have been busy competing the last two Fridays. On September 16th, the Gorillas traveled to Parker to the 4th annual Parker Marching Festival. The Gorillas came home with top flag corps in their class and top drum major in class ‘A’ at the festival. Even though the Marching Gorillas were given 3rd place in class ‘A’ behind Tri-Valley and Dell Rapids, the Gorillas were the clear cut fan favorite with their John Denver rendition of “Take Me Home, Country Roads.” The Marching Gorillas amassed over 57,000 views on a viral video of their performance on Facebook that a parent recorded and posted! Gregory was definitely the talk of the state this month!

Dear Editor, I would like to respond to the recently placed ad referring to the Gregory County Pumped Storage Project. If this project was not feasible years ago when first designed, what changed? I suspect that a lot of Biden’s Green New Deal money has become available now.
